We invite you to join in this gathering of citizens, students, interfaith and civic leaders. Local government and community leaders will be joining cheerleading squads and marching bands to celebrate this year's theme "Make Noise for the MDGs". There are 8 Millennium Development
Goals. This gathering will have a special focus on Goal 6: Combat
HIV/AIDS, malaria and other diseases. For the Global Fund to
Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, the world's largest health
financier, 2010 is a replenishment year. Come October the fate
of the Global Fund's financing for the next three years will
be set in stone - and that's why we urge the president to show
real American leadership for the Global Fund right now. At this gathering, Bay area citizen and community leaders will be Standing Up and urging President Obama to support the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria right now.
